When it comes to getting pregnant, it came a little too easy for me (my son was an unexpected gift! I was on the pill and missed a couple and ended up pregnant). So fertility issues, and not being able to get pregnant, aren’t something I thought about and it wasn’t something that was talked a whole lot about (in my circle).
But when it comes to fertility issues and doing what she always knew she wanted to do and just figured it would happen – be a mom – my guest Alison Bucklin knows firsthand all about fertility issues and not being able to get pregnant.
Her and her husband went through not one, not two, not three, not even four… but 11 fertility treatments before it finally took and she became pregnant and finally giving birth to her beautiful daughter.
We chat about how all this affected her and her husband and how her faith, personal growth, and developing inner strength kept her going through it all. We also chat a bit about positive self-talk, and letting your light shine and not dimming it because you want to make others happy.
